This course guides students in exploring occupational science through personal reflection on past, present, and future occupations using the doing, being, becoming, and belonging framework while considering their personal growth, values, and career path in occupational therapy.

OCS 3320 - Occupational Development Across the Lifespan

This course explores the occupational development of humans across the lifespan to understand the ways in which life stages and transitions influence occupational engagement.

OCS 3520 - Occupation, Health, and Wellness

3 Credits

This course explores the reciprocal relationships between occupation, health, and wellness from its historical origins through theoretical conceptualization and reviews the literature supporting the benefits of occupational engagement on health and wellness.

OCS 3720 - Occupational Justice

3 Credits

This course introduces the theoretical and philosophical concepts of occupational justice and explores the right of humans as occupational beings to engage in a variety of meaningful, balanced, and inclusive occupations.
