Applying for Financial Aid
Saint Louis University has established federal and state financial aid application deadlines that allow us to better ensure fund availability for your studies at SLU and adequate processing time.
To receive priority consideration for federal and state need‑based financial aid, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by Feb. 2 prior to the start of the Fall period. Applications submitted after this date will still be reviewed; however, funding availability may be limited.
Failure to complete your FAFSA/state aid application by the following dates may result in the inability to review and award federal/state aid for that enrollment period:
- Summer sessions: July 1
- Fall periods: Nov. 1
- Spring periods: Feb. 2
