Finance, M.S.

Finance today is faster, smarter — and more human — than ever. In Saint Louis University's Chaifetz School of Business M.S. in finance program, you won’t simply study finance; you will develop the ability to think critically, make sound decisions, and lead others in a world shaped by advanced analytics, evolving technologies and human insight. The program reflects an intentional approach to integrating technology in ways that enhance learning and support your personal and professional growth.

In SLU's Master of Science in Finance, you will explore how algorithms and alternative data are reshaping financial markets, while learning from faculty who bring together rigorous research, technological expertise, and real-world experience to address complex financial challenges. Through a foundation in human-centered leadership, you will strengthen your judgment, empathy and sense of purpose in decision-making. The program also connects you to a powerful professional network spanning investment firms, fintech and corporate finance, with graduates building careers at organizations such as Edward Jones, Stifel, Morgan Stanley, Boeing, NISA and RGA. Coursework includes investment theory and practice, financial modeling, machine learning applications, algorithmic trading, and fintech analytics, along with electives in areas such as real estate, financial planning, and blockchain. Together, these experiences accelerate the formation of your capabilities, perspective, and confidence, preparing you to lead with clarity and purpose across the evolving landscape of finance.
